Bakersfield
Bakersfield is a city at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley in California. It is California's 11th largest city in population. Bakersfield is nestled between the Sequoia National Forest and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Approximately 1 and 1/2 hours north of Los Angeles, the Bakersfield area is home to several outdoor activities including whitewater rafting, off highway vehicle riding, and hiking. Bakersfield is also known for its many sporting enthusiasts.
